Goings exists to get people off the feed and out to what’s happening around them.
Goings is an iPhone app from Goings Social for finding what’s happening nearby, showing up, and sharing it with the people who are actually there.
Our story
Goings Social started with something its founder, Samuel Rhodes, kept noticing: the people around him were being consumed by social media, spending more time scrolling through other people’s lives and less time living their own. He set out to build the opposite, and became the company’s first member.
Grayson Roach joined second, as co-founder. He came up with profile customization and Duos, the first standalone features in the app, and he leads its visual direction. Aaron Miller, Chief Operating Officer, runs the company’s day-to-day operations.
The result is Goings: a social app built around real places, where you have to be there to post, your exact location is never shown to anyone, and there are no ads.
What we believe
Real places first.
Every Link is tied to something happening at a real place, and you have to be there to post.
Your location is yours.
We use it to check, rounded and never shown, and we don’t keep a history of where you’ve been.
Your people, not an audience.
Moments are for your friends. Circles are invite-only and never show up in search.
No ads.
We don’t show ads, and we don’t sell your personal information.
